Paris Police Report for Tuesday August 1

Officers are investigating a burglary in the 2600 block of N Main in Paris. Officers were told that suspects known to the victim had entered the complainant’s residence and took several items including tool boxes and cash. Another burglary was reported in the 3700 block of NE Loop 286. A complainant told officers that someone had stolen his wallet from the room. Officers responded to a burglary report in the 800 block of SE 19th where a person known to the complainant had taken a television. The TV has been recovered and the investigation is continuing.

Paris Police are investigating a fraud complaint stemming from an incident in the 600 block of SE 13th. Officers were told that a man had purchased a firearm from another individual and paid for the firearm with counterfeit $100 bills. It was later determined that the gun had been reported stolen.

Paris Police responded to the 700 block of SE 8th and made contact with 63-year-old Daniel Bell. He was wanted on an outstanding warrant for aggravated sexual assault out of Fort Worth.

Officers made contact with 23-year-old Cassandra Hesler during a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Lamar Ave. She was allegedly in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Paris Police was dispatched to the 3500 block of Lamar Ave for a security check. Officers arrested 37-year-old Iesha Gordon who on an outstanding parole violation warrant and two misdemeanor warrants.

Paris Police saw 33-year-old Broderick Henderson walking in the 800 block of NW 9th and knew he was wanted on a county warrant out for criminal non-support and three misdemeanors. He was taken into custody and transported to the Lamar County Jail.

Officers were called to the 800 block of NW 14th to investigate a report of shots fired. A person known to the complainant had allegedly fired a shot at the complainant while threatening him.
