Paris Police Report for Tuesday Dec. 6th

Paris Police responded to Clement Road in and stopped a vehicle allegedly being driven by an intoxicated person.  40 year old Jerry Coleman was found to be in possession of cocaine, marijuana, and a handgun which had been previously reported to be stolen. Coleman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm by felon, theft of a firearm, and possession of marijuana.

Paris Police Officers arrested 28 year old  Davarious Battle after a traffic stop in the 1200 block of South Church. He was  in possession of more than 4 ounces of suspected marijuana.

Paris Police observed a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of Clarksville and made contact with 33 year old  Cedrick Price. He was found to have an outstanding probation violation warrant stemming from a previous marijuana arrest. Price was also found to be in possession of a handgun which had been previously reported as stolen in Dallas. He was charged with the warrant, theft of a firearm, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Paris Police made contact with 33 year old Irby Winston and  30 year old Kimberley Combs during a traffic stop in the 500 block of N Main  and located methamphetamine inside the vehicle. Both were arrested on felony drug charges.

49 year old Howard Williams was arrested by Paris police after a traffic stop in the 3500 block of FM 195. He was in possession of methamphetamine.

Paris Police responded to a theft of vehicle  at a business in the 1500 block of NE Loop 286. Officers were told that a 2002 Chevy S10 pickup had been taken from the lot .

Paris Police were called to the Booker T Washington Homes after getting a report that shots had been fired. A known person had  reportedly fired shots into the air and had also struck the complainant with a firearm while threatening the complainant. He remains at large.

Paris Police are investigating a forgery report that occurred in the 600 block of Bonham. Officers were told that an unknown white male had purchased lottery tickets and paid for them with a counterfeit $20 bill. The investigation is ongoing.
