Paris Police Report For Tuesday (Feb 08)

Paris Police arrested John Beau Gallaghan, 55, of Paris, at 11:20 Monday morning. Witnesses observed Gallaghan not paying for items while leaving the store in the 3800-block of Lamar Ave. During the investigation, officers discovered Gallaghan had at least two prior theft convictions, so, therefore, they enhanced his charge to a felony and transferred him to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 300-block of SE 12th St Monday afternoon at 2:38 for a turn signal violation. During the stop, the driver and passenger had more than four ounces of marijuana. The driver, Tyrelle Emanuel Lewis, 18, and passenger, Jalen Keshawn Sanders, 18, both of Paris, were arrested and charged with having marijuana of more than four ounces. Both are waiting for transfer to the Lamar County Jail. They additionally charged Lewis with tampering with evidence.

Matthew Gerardo Cordoba

At 2:50 Monday afternoon, Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 2100-block of Bonham St for an expired registration sticker. During the stop, the driver, Matthew Gerardo Cordoba, 35, had possession of more than one gram of methamphetamine. Cordoba was arrested and later placed in the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to 72 calls for service and arrested five people on Monday (Feb 7).
