Paris Police Report For Tuesday (Feb 21)

Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 2000 block of E. Cherry St at 10:56 am on Monday for a defective brake light violation. In addition, the passenger, Shane Michael Crites, 43, of Paris, had an outstanding parole violation warrant. Officers arrested Crites and transferred him to the Lamar County Jail.

Jerry Lynn Young

At 11:21 Monday morning, Paris Police responded to a theft in the 500-block of Clarksville where a black male, wearing all black clothing, reportedly had stolen multiple items by placing them in a yellow shopping bag and leaving the store. Officers located Jerry Lynn Young, 62, of Paris, in the 300-block of Houston St. carrying the load. Young was arrested and had multiple prior convictions for theft. They enhanced his charge to a felony and placed him in the Lamar County Jail.

Lacarnley Hardy

There was a disturbance in the 1200 block of SE 20th at 11:35 Monday morning. Officers observed a vehicle trying to back out of the driveway to leave the scene. The driver, Lacarnley Hardy, 45, of Paris, was arrested for intoxicated driving. While being booked, officers learned that he had at least three convictions for drunk driving, so they enhanced his charge to a felony. As a result, Hardy is in the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to 75 calls for service and arrested five people on Monday (Feb 20).
