Paris Police Report For Tuesday (Jan 21)

Tiffany Kristine Dozier | Quades Atwain Williams

Paris Police responded to a warrant arrest in the 1400-block of W. Austin at 9:56 am Monday. Tiffany Kristine Dozier, 31, and Quades Atwain Williams, 33, both of Paris, were located in a vehicle where they had been sleeping. Officers found Dozier had an outstanding felony criminal non-support warrant along with two traffic warrants. Williams had two felony warrants out of Lamar County, charging him with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, bail jumping, and failure to appear as a repeat offender. While attempting to place Williams under arrest, he gave officers a false name and then resisted arrest. They transferred both to the Lamar County Jail.

At 1:15 pm Monday, Paris Police responded to a burglary of a building in the 900-block of NE 5th. Reportedly, someone had entered a garage and shed and stole lawn equipment and furniture. The investigation continues.

Paris Police spoke with a victim of fraud in the police department lobby Monday afternoon at 3:43. Reportedly, someone had used an on-line app through a bank called Green Dot and gained access to the victim’s account. The suspect then made eight $1,000 withdraws out of the victim’s account. The incident is under investigation.

Angela Renee Martin

Officers arrested Angela Renee Martin, 39, of Paris, at 4:55 Monday afternoon in the 2400-block of Simpson St. on a felony Lamar County warrant. The warrant was a motion to revoke probation on an assault of a public servant charge. She was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to a stabbing in the 1100=block of NW Loop 286 at 10:24 pm on Monday. Allegedly, Terry Lee Cuevas, 58, of Fort Worth, was intoxicated and began fighting two people after being asked to leave the premises. During the altercation, Cuevas pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed a 56-year-old male and cut a 50-year-old male before having the knife taken away. Cuevas was later arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Paramedics admitted the 56-year-old victim to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and treated and released the other victim. Cuevas was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail. The Paris Police Department learned of another disturbance at 2:12 am on January 18, 2020, in the 1000-block of W. Houston. The report reflects that a male and a female had gotten into an argument while at a local nightclub. After they left and arrived at their residence, the debate continued. Both parties claimed that the other person pointed a pistol at them but were not wanting to file any charges against the other person. The incident is under investigation.

Amanda Gail Gilbert

Paris Police arrested Amanda Gail Gilbert, 27, of Paris, in the 1200-block of NW 15th at 4:31 pm on January 18, 2020, on a parole violation warrant. Officers later transferred her to the Lamar County Jail.

At 6:37 pm on January 18, 2020, Paris Police met with a victim of a credit card abuse. Allegedly, an unknown white male was seen taking mail from a mailbox in the 2800-block of Briarwood Dr. Someone then activated and used a credit card that had arrived that belonged to the victim. The incident is under investigation.

John Kenneth Stepp

Police stopped John Kenneth Stepp, 56, of Powderly, for a traffic violation in the 900-block of Lamar at 8:31 pm on January 18, 2020. During the stop, Officers found that Stepp had possession of pills without a prescription. K-9 Cupa alerted the officers to narcotics inside the vehicle. Police discovered Stepp had possession of over two grams of methamphetamine. They arrested and charged him with two counts of possession of a dangerous drug and one count of possession of a controlled substance of more than one gram. Officers later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

David Ronald Davis

David Ronald Davis, 60, of Crockett, Texas, was stopped in the 1200-block of SE 24th at 3:34 pm on January 19, 2020, for a traffic violation. Officers discovered that Davis had an outstanding felony probation violation warrant out of Houston County, Texas. They arrested Davis and transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police met with a victim of an aggravated assault in the 3900-block of Lamar Ave at 8:37 pm on January 19, 2020. The 51-year-old victim reported that she and her 46-year-old boyfriend got into an argument, and the boyfriend pointed a gun at her. The incident is under investigation.

Paris Police responded to 330 calls for service and arrested 20 people over the past four-day holiday weekend ending at midnight on January 20, 2020.
