Paris Police Report For Tuesday (Jan 25)

Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 700-block of Pine Bluff St for speeding at 10:11 Monday morning. The driver, Michael Jerome Woods, 53, of Paris, had an outstanding felony warrant charging him with aggravated robbery. The warrant stemmed from an August 2021 incident where Woods reportedly assaulted a female and had stolen some cash. Officers placed Woods in the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to a theft in the 3500-block of Bonham at 9:47 Monday morning. The victim reported that someone had cut the catalytic converter off their vehicle. The victim believes that the theft occurred between 3:15 am, and 3:30 am on Monday. These types of theft are becoming more common and are costing the victims hundreds of dollars to replace the converters. If the person or persons involved are not apprehended, you could be the next victim.

Cody Cortez Hill

Paris Police arrested Cody Cortez Hill, 25, of Paris, at 2:25 Monday afternoon at the Lamar County Probation Office on a felony motion to revoke a probation warrant. Hill is currently on probation for an evading arrest or detention with a vehicle conviction. They placed him in the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to 68 calls for service and arrested two people on Monday (Jan 24).
