Paris Police Report For Tuesday May 14

A Dodge Charger was stopped in the 2000-block of Lamar Ave at 9:50 pm on May 13, for not having on the headlights. The driver, 41-year-old Felecia Lavanda Lane, was found to have three outstanding warrants out of Rockwall County. They charged her with theft of property of less than $2,500 with two or more previous convictions, possession of or distribution of an instrument to commit retail theft and fleeing from a police officer. Lane was arrested and later placed in the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to several burglaries of motor vehicles on May 13, 2019. Of the ones that were reported, one victim advised that the unknown suspect(s) had forced the passenger window down to unlock the door. Most were crimes of opportunity where the doors were not locked. Things stolen were listed as a purse, an X-Box One game console, and an Apple Iwatch. Paris Police encourage you to be diligent in making sure that your vehicles are locked before you walk away from them. Also, make sure that all valuables are hidden and cannot be seen through the windows. Park your vehicles in secure areas that are well lit and check your back seats for children.

Paris Police responded to 85 calls for service and arrested four people on Monday, May 13. Note: There were 229 calls for service over this past weekend ending at midnight on May 12, 2019, not 78 as previously reported.
