Paris Police Report for Tuesday May 16th

 

Baughn

Officers responded to the 2600 block of W Brame in Paris in regards to a wanted person. Officers made contact with 45 year old  Brian Baughn  and arrested him for violation of parole.

Stowell

Paris police observed 51 year old Stephen Stowell driving in the 900 block of Bonham and noticed that he had a known fugitive inside the vehicle with him. Stowell attempted to evade the officers by speeding away. He finally stopped on 9th NW where both Stowell and the wanted person fled on foot. Stowell was apprehended a short time later at 11th NW and W Houston.

Smith (1)

Paris police received information that a person wanted on multiple warrants was in the 1500 block of Clarksville. Officers made contact with 18 year old Joshua Smith who  attempted to evade officers but was quickly apprehended. Smith was placed under arrest for the warrants, and since he was in possession of methamphetamine, he was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Officers  are investigating a report of unauthorized use of vehicle in the 400 block of NE 8th in Paris. Officers were told that a possible known suspect had taken maroon Chevrolet Blazer without consent.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of Belmont in regards to a burglary. Officers were told that an unknown suspect had entered the home and had taken jewelry and other items. Another residential burglary was reported in the 700 block of West Kaufman. Someone stole a printer and tools from the house. Police are investigating the theft of a handgun and a rifle during a burglary in the 800 block of NE 20th.  A game console and DVD player were stolen during a break-in of a residence in the 2200 block of  East Cherry.

Criminal mischief was reported at  George Wright Homes in Paris. A known suspect had caused extensive damage to the complainant’s vehicle.
