Paris Police Report For Tuesday, October 24

Tray Deon Johnson

Officers arrested Tray Deon Johnson Monday afternoon at 1:41 after turning himself in on outstanding warrants for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. This arrest resulted from an incident on Saturday, October 21, in the Booker T. Washington Homes complex on NE 8th St. One individual suffered a gunshot wound during the initial assault. Police took Johnson into custody, booked, and later transported to Lamar County Jail.

Tasha Denise Kyle

Monday at 2:53 pm, officers responded to a suspicious person in the 1300 block of Clarksville St. They noticed Tasha Denise Kyle appeared intoxicated. Kyle admitted to having methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on her person, which she turned over to the officers. She was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and taken into custody without incident. 

An unknown suspect entered a business in the 100 block of SE 1st Street Monday morning at 7:38 and stole a bicycle valued at $5,000.00 and accessories from another bike stored in the same building. Officers collected evidence, and the investigation is ongoing. 

Officers made 22 traffic stops, arrested four adults, and answered 119 calls for service on Monday, October 23.
