NOTICE—Beginning January 2025, the Paris Police Department will no longer include arrestees’ booking photographs in its daily media releases.
On Tuesday, Paris Police Department Detectives executed a search warrant at 440 NE 34th Street. Upon arrival, Detectives observed Danny Christopher and Charles Sweat in the driveway of this residence. During the execution of the search warrant, officers located the following individuals and found them in possession of a controlled substance:
Officers arrested all suspects and transported them to the Department for booking and later taken to Lamar County Jail.
Officers were dispatched Tuesday to the 3200 block of Clarksville about a disturbance. Officers contacted a female juvenile in the parking lot and identified them as the victim. The victim, 13 years of age, was in a T-shirt and shorts even though the temperatures were frigid. She advised that a household member had assaulted her. The victim was placed in a patrol unit to keep her warm while officers made contact with the suspect, who was intoxicated. The suspect admitted to having assaulted the victim but claimed it was a disciplinary action. The victim advised she had been struck and choked by the suspect. The victim did have apparent injuries. The victim’s father was contacted and came and took custody of the juvenile. The investigation will continue.
For this reporting period, officers made four traffic stops, arrested four adults, and answered 72 calls for service.
