Paris Police Report For Wednesday (Feb 2)

Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 200-block of NE 12th at 8:14 Tuesday night for speeding. Officers smelled marijuana and discovered the passenger, Howard Paul Browner, III, 20, of Paris, had possession of cocaine and pills that he did not have a prescription to possess. During his arrest, Browner had control of a pistol magazine, and officers located two pistols in the vicinity of where the officer initiated the traffic stop. Additionally, they charged Browner with a felon possessing a firearm and tampering with evidence and transferred him to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to the 1500-block of W. Kaufman Tuesday morning at 11:18 about a residential burglary. The victim reported that someone had entered the vacant residence within the last 30 days and taken several appliances. The incident is under investigation.

Tuesday evening at 6:54, Paris Police responded to a burglary of a building in the 500-block of NE 16th St. The victim reported that someone had entered a shed and taken numerous items. The investigation continues.

Kyle Spencer Dickerson

Paris Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 2900-block of Clarksville at 11:12 Tuesday night. During the investigation, the vehicle’s driver had possession of methamphetamine and a handgun. They arrested Kyle Spencer Dickerson, 37, of Reno, and charged him with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful carrying a weapon, and two Municipal Court warrants. They booked Dickerson into the city jail.

Paris Police responded to 78 calls for service and arrested three people on Tuesday (Feb 1).
