Paris Police Report For Wednesday (Feb 22)

Paris Police responded to a trailer theft in the 2800 block of NE Loop 286 at 9:46 Tuesday morning. The victim reported someone removed a 24′ car hauler flatbed trailer from the property without the owner’s knowledge or permission. The incident is under investigation.

A disturbance was reported Tuesday morning at 10:34 in the 1200 block of Clarksville St. Officers identified Robbie Dean Jester, 71, of Lockesburg, Arkansas, intoxicated on an unknown substance. He had possession of over one gram of fentanyl and one gram of methamphetamine. They arrested Jester and charged him with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, booked him, and he awaited transfer to the Lamar County Jail.

Wesley Tyrone Neal

Wesley Tyrone Neal, 29, of Paris, was arrested on a parole violation warrant on Tuesday morning at 11:02 at the Paris District Parole Office. Neal is on parole for deadly conduct by discharging a firearm conviction. They booked Neal and later placed him in the Lamar County Jail.

A victim of identity theft met with Paris Police in the Police Department lobby at 1:10 Tuesday afternoon. The victim reported that they had been a fraud victim in the past, and the government had issued a new social security number. In addition, the victim recently received a statement from E*trade advising that someone had opened an account with their old social security number. The victim has also received a notice from Amazon advising that they owe taxes on royalties from book sales. The incident is under investigation.

Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 1600 block of Maple Ave. Tuesday afternoon at 4:19 for not using a turn signal. The officer knew that the occupants were suspected of being involved in a disturbance a few blocks away. They identified the driver as Raven Chardae Jordon, 25, and the passenger as Cordarrius Demontre Easter, 26, both of Paris. The officer smelled marijuana and observed a firearm in the floorboard under Jordon’s feet. During the investigation, the officer located multiple baggies of marijuana and another handgun. Easter had possession of multi-colored tablets that later tested positive for Ecstacy and more than one gram of THC wax. Jordon was arrested and charged with possessing a controlled substance of more than four grams, illegally carrying a weapon, and possessing marijuana. Easter was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful firearm possession by a felon, illegal gun carrying, and possession of marijuana. Both were booked and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail. In addition, officers charged Easter with assault and the terroristic threat of a family member due to the investigation of the disturbance.

Paris Police responded to 71 calls for service and arrested seven people on Tuesday (Feb 21).
