Paris Police Report For Wednesday (Mar 8)

On Tuesday morning at 6:29, a Paris Regional Health Center worker who was arriving at work noticed a gunshot victim exiting his vehicle and assisted him into the Hospital ER. ER treated the 57-Year-Old Hispanic Male from Paris for multiple gunshot wounds, and they expect he will make a full recovery. Officers arrested Dulce Esmerelda Chavez, 19, of Paris after they confessed to the shooting. ER treated Chavez for minor injuries from what she described as being dragged by a vehicle driven by the gunshot victim. The violence occurred in the 2500 block of Graham Street and resulted from disagreements in their dating relationship.

Tuesday at 11:41 am, a daycare worker reported Injury of a Child with Intent Serious Bodily Injury, regarding a parent, at 1000 NE 34th Street. Child Protective Services will assist in the investigation of physical abuse.

Brandon Joe Brockway

A victim said her son had threatened her with a baseball bat Wednesday morning at 1:14. It was in the 1200 block of Bonham Street. The victim feared further violence, and the suspect claimed he had nowhere to go for the night. Instead, officers arrested Brandon Joe Brockway, 41, of Paris, for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and transported him to the Paris City Jail.

The Paris Police Department responded to 70 Calls for Service and arrested two people Tuesday (Mar 7).
