Paris Police Report Friday (Jan 8)

Thomas Dewayne Kyle

Paris Police arrested Thomas Dewayne Kyle, 24, of Paris, at 5:16 Thursday afternoon. Kyle was in the 800-block of Deshong Dr., and officers knew that Kyle had an outstanding felony warrant out of Lamar County, charging him with possession of a controlled substance. They transferred Kyle to the Lamar County Jail.

Kenneth Dion Smith

At 8:58 Thursday night, Paris Police responded to a disturbance in the 1600-block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. Officers learned that during an altercation, Kenneth Dion Smith, 22, had assaulted a 38-year-old male with a knife. The victim only had a small scratch on his arm. They charged Smith with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and he is in Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to 77 calls for service and arrested nine people on Thursday (Jan 7).
