Paris Police Report Friday (Oct 2)

Paris Police responded to the 600-block of Clarksville Thursday afternoon at 2:44 about a forgery. An employee at First Federal Community Bank’s drive-thru noticed that someone had altered the amount on a check cashed in the drive-thru had been changed. Officers arrested Jennifer Marie Tidwell, 30, and charged her with forgery of a financial instrument. The check owner reported that the check was placed into their mailbox earlier on this date, and Tidwell was not the recipient. Officers later transferred Tidwell to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police were dispatched to a burglary of a residence the 300-block of SE 12th St at 3:02 Thursday afternoon. Someone opened a window to gain access to the home and, once inside, stole a large amount of cash from a safe, some clothing, and a pair of Nike shoes. The incident is under investigation.

Paris Police responded to 102 calls for service and arrested two people on Thursday (Oct 1).
