Paris Police Report Thursday (Jan 7)

Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 10-block of NE 21st St at 1:00 am for driving with no headlights. The driver, Gerald Russell Bridgers, 34, had an outstanding felony warrant charging him with tampering with a witness. Officers arrested Bridgers and transferred him to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to a burglary of a motor vehicle in the 1100-block of Mockingbird Lane Wednesday morning at 8:24. The victim reported that someone had entered an unlocked vehicle and had stolen an AR-15 rifle and other gear. The incident is under investigation.

At 1:31 Wednesday afternoon, Paris Police met with a victim of a theft in the Police Department’s lobby. The victim reported that a possible known suspect had entered their residence and had stolen a pistol. The investigation continues.

Paris Police responded to 67 calls for service and arrested two people on Wednesday (Jan 6).
