Paris Police Report Tuesday July 18

Monday before 9:45 am someone flagged down an officer about a child in a vehicle. The car was in a parking lot in the 3800 block of Lamar. The car was not locked, and officers removed the child from the strapped in the car seat. Later they arrested Sarah Williams, 28, for abandoning or endangering her child under the age of one, with the intent of returning. Officers also charged Williams with three misdemeanors.

Dequarron Hall

Monday morning at 10:20, Paris Police arrested Dequarron Hall, 22, after they observed him operating a go kart in the 1200 block of Clarksville Street. Hall also had over four grams of synthetic marijuana and a Lamar County outstanding bond surrender warrant.

Monday night at 9:30 officers worked a theft of a vehicle that possibly occurred in the 300 block of Stone Ave. An unknown suspect had taken a blue 1993 GMC pick-up from that location. The investigation is ongoing.

Tuesday morning after 2:30 police worked a disturbance in the 200 block of SE 13th. A male and female were arguing, and the woman had allegedly chased the man with a knife. The female left before police arrived.

Paris Police responded to 107 calls for service and arrested 15 people over the past 24 hours ending at 6:00 am Tuesday (Jul 18).
