Paris Police Report Tuesday (Oct 6)

Paris Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 1900-block of E. Price Monday morning at 9:39. The driver, Kayanna Loyce Wallace, 54, of Deport, had a felony bond surrender warrant out of Hunt County charging her with driving while intoxicated, a third or more. Officers booked Wallace, and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

At 10:03 Monday morning, Paris Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle for the passenger not wearing a seat belt in the 500-block of NW 7th St. The driver, Dakota Hughes, 32, of Pattonville, had an outstanding Municipal Court warrants and placed under arrest. Hughes gave consent for searching the vehicle, and the passenger, Danny Ray Martin, 17 of Blossom, told officers that he had a small amount of methamphetamine in his pocket. Officers found more methamphetamine in the trunk and added charges to Hughes of possession of a controlled substance of more than one gram. Martin was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance of less than one gram. Both are in Lamar County Jail.
