Paris Police Report Wednesday (Aug 16)

A person reported to Paris Police that they received a telephone call which the caller ID showed to be from “Evergreen Cemetery” with the last four digits of the number being “6750.” The caller requested credit card information. Police made verification of representatives from Evergreen Cemetery, and they have not made any such calls nor do they require credit/debit card information on the phone. Anyone receiving this type of call should hang up and notify the police department.

Tuesday morning officers arrested Jimmy Seat, Jr., 42, at the parole office on an outstanding parole violation warrant. Later police arrested Isaiah Harris, 20, on an outstanding warrant for criminal non-support.

Codarrius Easter

Paris Police worked a criminal trespass complaint in the 2600 block of Lamar Ave. Officers arrested Codarrius Easter, 20, on an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault. In May, Easter allegedly assaulted a male subject in the 10 block of W Washington by punching the subject with his fist.

A person reported a robbery in the 1600 block of N Main. Allegedly a black male wearing a white shirt and jogging pants told the complainant that he had a gun and then demanded money. The suspect was able to take money from the register drawer and fled the scene. Officers arrested Roosevelt Hearn, 50, in the 800 block of Hickory who fit the suspect description. Later Hearn was positively identified from the video as the suspect.

Paris Police worked an assault complaint in the 300 block of SE 16th. Four male suspects attacked the complainant, one of which had allegedly struck the complainant with a blunt object.

Paris Police responded to 89 calls for service and arrested 13 people over the past 24 hours ending at 6:00 am Wednesday (Aug 16).
