The incidents are under investigation. Paris Police stopped a vehicle at noon on Tuesday (Dec 1) in the 600-block of W. Center for displaying the wrong license plate. The back passenger, Edward Lee Gaffney, Jr., 34, of Paris, had several outstanding Municipal Court warrants. As officers arrested Gaffney, they found him in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, and there was more methamphetamine in the vehicle. They charged Gaffney with possession of a controlled substance of less than one gram, and he is in Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to 61 calls for service and arrested three people on Tuesday (Dec 1).
