Paris Police responded to the 1200-block of Lamar Ave at 11:48 Tuesday morning about fraud. The clerk advised that someone in the drive-thru attempted to pay for merchandise with a fake $100 bill. The suspect drove off before the police arrived and not located. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police spoke with a victim about fraud at 3:26 Tuesday afternoon. The victim reported that a known person had possibly forged her deceased son’s signature onto the back of their son’s vehicle and sold it. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police responded to a burglary of a residence in the 900-block of SE 28th St at 9:26 pm Tuesday. The victim had been away for over 24 hours and, upon returning, found that the back door had been forced open. The only thing found missing was a lockbox from a closet. The investigation continues.
