Paris Police Warn of Phone Scam

The Paris Police Department has been made aware of yet another local scamming attempt. In this attempt, a call is received and the caller ID displays “City of Paris 903-737-4194.” A recorded message indicates that the person called is delinquent in payment to the City of Paris and the recording prompts the person to provide credit/debit card information. The City of Paris will not request such information over the phone.
