Paris Weekend Preview

Feed the Flame fundraiser for the Lamar County Contenders Friday (Feb 22), is at the Paris Elks Lodge. Cas Haley and Montgomery Moore have the entertainment Tickets are $30 per person and include dinner and entertainment. Plus live and silent auctions. The Lamar County Contenders are adults from Lamar County over the age of 21 who have an intellectual disability. The Contenders are no longer in public education programs, there are no sources of funds for activities they participate in, except for what they can raise themselves. This will be the primary fundraiser for this group.

Join the National Wild Turkey Federation for their annual banquet in Clarksville at the McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church on Friday (Feb 22). Doors open at 6:00 and dinner begins at 7:30. Another low-cost Spay and Neuter SNIP Event is coming Saturday (Feb 23) at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds. Sponsored by the Lamar County Humane Association. 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Coliseum Building. Vouchers (good up to six months) for spay/neuter for $30. Also low-cost shots and microchipping available. Accepting cash and credit/debit cards.

Chili Supper for the Powderly VFD Saturday (Feb 23) at 4:00 pm at the Aaron Parker Elementary Gym. It is $5 at the door for a live auction and silent auction. All proceeds benefit the Powderly VFD.
