Paris Woman Arrested for Assaulting Officer

29 year old Kimberly Ann Layton of Paris was arrested in the 800 block of Deshong after witnesses reported that she was driving erratically and may have been intoxicated. She was detained by responding officers, became belligerent  and kicked and spat on the officer. She was then found to be in possession of medication that had not been prescribed for her. She was charged with Assault on a Public Servant and numerous other charges and transported to the Lamar County jail. .
