Students and staff at the Paul Pewitt school district were evacuated Wednesday afternoon after school officials received a tip that there was an explosive device on the High School campus. First responders from multiple agencies including Fire-Rescue, Naples and Omaha police and Morris County Sheriff’s office responded to the threat. All buildings were checked and cleared, but students were dismissed for the rest of the day. Classes will resume this morning as scheduled. Student belonging left at the school because of the evacuation can be picked up when the buildings open today.
