Authorities arrested Payne Springs’ Police Chief April Meadows and Officer Jonathan Hutchison around 11:00 am Thursday at their houses in Mabank. Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse said his office had received information that the pair had been dealing drugs seized by the Paynbe Springs department. They charged Meadows and Hutchinson with delivering a controlled substance and money laundering. Their bond amounts are $1.5 million for each charge.
