The death toll is now at eight and 22 people were wounded in a mass shooting in Odessa. Several law enforcement officers from various agencies were among the wounded. The suspect, 36-year-old Seth Aaron Ator, of Odessa, was fatally shot in a confrontation with police and is included in the death tally.
Odessa authorities say the gunman in the mass shootings after a routine traffic stop in West Texas had just been fired Saturday from Journey Oilfield Services. Both 36-year-old Seth Aaron Ator and the company called 911 and the FBI after the firing. Ator killed seven people and injured 24 others Saturday before officers killed him outside a movie theater in Odessa.
