Bryan Clark Spruill

Bryan Clark Spruill, 59, of Maud, identified himself as a physician assistant in Texarkana in an exchange of messages with whom he thought was a 15-year-old girl. Spruill is actually a Red Water school board member. Bowie County officials arrested Spruill Tuesday on a Hamilton County warrant charging online solicitation of a minor. Spruill is in the Bowie County Jail in Texarkana pending his transfer to Hamilton. Hamilton County Sheriff Justin Caraway was posing as a 15-year-old girl named “Kayla” on April 4 on the SKOUT smartphone app when a man later identified as Spruill contacted him, according to the affidavit. Last Friday there was an exchange of texts that stretched out over almost seven hours. Spruill sent live photographs of himself. Spruill sent photos and messages again on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Investigators obtained an arrest warrant on Monday.
