CASA of Titus, Camp, and Morris Counties is holding CASA Volunteer Training starting Monday (May 23). As a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Volunteer, you are a voice making a difference at a critical point in a child’s life. The Pittsburg Farmers Market is every Saturday from 8:00 am until noon at the Texas Country Farm Supply, 409 S. Greer.
The Camp County Republicans’ regular monthly meeting is Saturday (May 21) at the Pizza Inn on Hwy 271N. The meeting begins at 9:00 am. Come a little early if you wish to enjoy a light breakfast. Our members who attended the GOP State Convention in Dallas this week will report on what happened. The candidates on the ballot in the Tuesday (May 24) runoff election is attending the meeting to answer any questions or discuss issues or concerns you have.
We are in the planning stages of this year’s Pioneer Days. We are adding a lot this year to make it better. The event needs more volunteers than ever before. We have one new member this week, Rosita Palmer Photography. She is moving into the old Hoovers Jewellery building 232 Rusk. We will cut a ribbon for her on Wednesday (Jun 22).
