Pittsburg-Camp Chamber Of Commerce

Pittsburg CofC 1

Happy Thursday!

Pittsburg Innovative Entrepreneur Contest for 2016. This initiative will function as a competition for business and is a new and different way to foster economic growth in the community. The city will be looking for creative, innovative, and new types of business plans to bring to Pittsburg. These plans will be reviewed by the selection committee and filtered out based upon a predetermined matrix scoring sheet. Five finalists will be selected, and these finalists will go before the selection committee for a private “shark tank”, in which the finalists will pitch their plans and answer questions from the committee. One finalist is the winner and receives an array of assistance to kick start their business. The winner receives $20,000, economic development funds, and there will be some non-monetary incentives such as a year of Chamber of Commerce membership, free advertising on the city website and at city events. An existing business in the City of Pittsburg can also apply for a $10,000 incentive to expand their business, product lines or services.
Applications are on our website (www.pittsburgtexas.com), and questions can come directly to Amanda at City Hall. The initial deadline is June 1.
