Plea Bargain In NE Texas Child Prostitution Case

A Northeast Texas man, who was formerly a security guard for the Texarkana, Texas ISD, has pleaded guilty to Promoting Prostitution of a Person Under the Age of 18. The victim was a 14-year-old boy. Prosecutors say as a result of the Plea Agreement, 43-year-old Michael Carroll James will serve ten years probation. The victim’s family was reportedly okay with the deal, but District Judge John Tidwell said he would not agree with the Plea Bargain until after a pre-sentence investigation.
