Pontotoc County Authorities And OSBI Investigate Shooting

Pontotoc County authorities and OSBI officers are investigating after one man was killed and another wounded when they fired at each other. Jimmy Northcutt Jr. told investigators he was shot in the back by Brian Doherty after an altercation at a marijuana growing property near Ada. Northcutt then returned fire and Doherty was killed. Doherty reportedly had applied for a license for the marijuana grow.
