Powderly Man Sentenced For Trafficking Meth

A Powderly man was sentenced Wednesday in Lamar County to 25 years in prison for trafficking in methamphetamine. Derek Armstrong was caught smuggling more than a quarter pound of meth inside the engine compartment of a rented truck. Armstrong had asked the jury to sentence him to probation.
