Powderly VFD Annual Chili Supper and Live Auction Postponed

Powderly VFD’s 2021 Annual Chili Supper and Live Auction originally anticipated to take place in February, with due regard to the safety and to ensure a healthy environment to our community members and residents of Lamar County as a result of COVID-19, we will be postponing the event.

We are saddened that we must make this decision, as it is tradition for many in Powderly and Lamar County, but the health and well-being of our wonderful community who continue to support us during these challenging times is our top priority.

At this time, we do not have a reschedule date for our event, we will review in the summer as to status of COVID-19.

COVID-19 has made a significant impact on many organizations to brain storm new and alternative ways to raise funds, and we at Powderly VFD are no different.  So, at this time, we have two options for anyone who would like to donate to our fire department.

OPTION 1: Go Fund Me

-We will have a Go Fund Me that can be found on our Facebook page, where anyone can click the link and make their donation online.

OPTION 2: Account at First Federal Community Bank

-Anyone who would like to make a donation, can do so by going to First Federal Community Bank and make a donation that will be deposited into a bank account titled Powderly VFD Fundraiser Account.

As we continue to channel and push through these unprecedented times, we want to continue to serve our community and Lamar County to the fullest capacity. We love what we do, and we cannot do it without the continued support of our community.

If there are any questions in regards in how to donate, you may contact Randi Johnson-Public Information Officer at 903-249-1393 or any member of Powderly VFD.
