A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for today for a Quinlan man charged with the murder of a Wills Point man. Carl Allen Welch has pleaded not guilty to the fatal shooting of 54-year-old Terry R. Cale in south Hunt County in October of 2017. Investigators say the shooting followed a domestic dispute. A trial date has not been set.
