There’s mounting pressure on Congress to pass gun control legislation as the number of mass shootings ramp up. Congressman Joaquin Castro of Texas says there is traction for expanding background checks. But Republicans argue that universal background checks go too far because they would force a father to fill out a government form if he wants to give his son a gun.
