Private Prison Company Sued Over Inmate Deaths

LaSalle Corrections, the private company that operates the Bi-State Justice Center in Texarkana is the defendant in two wrongful death lawsuits brought by the families of inmates who died of health problems while in custody. In one of the inmate deaths, the jail nurse has been charged with criminal negligence and is awaiting trial.
