Pushmataha County Hospital Files for Bankruptcy

The Pushmataha County Hospital in Antlers is reportedly $3.7 million in debt and has filed for bankruptcy.  Under Chapter 9 protection, the hospital will be protected from creditors as it develops a repayment plan. The emergency room, lab, and pharmacy will remain open. Officials are hopeful that the hospital will be able to resolve its financial issues rather than close.
