Quitman Man Indicted For Manslaughter

A Wood County grand jury has indicted a Quitman man in connection with a fatal crash in November. Reportedly, 20-year-old Dawson Emory Sims is charged with criminally negligent homicide and has been released on a personal recognizance bond. Authorities say he rear-ended a pickup stopped to turn into a private drive on Hwy 37 and caused the death of 64-year-old Lawrence Dale Banks, of Quitman.
