Ranger Wrap First Half Plus Home Run Derby Tonight

 

The Texas Rangers go into the All-Star Break on a high note after taking two out of three from the L-A Angels. The Rangers dropped game three but already had the series wrapped up after wins in games one and two. On Saturday, Adrian Beltre launched home run No. 452 of his career. Texas will go into the break with a 43-45 record and sit three games out of a Wildcard Spot and 16.5 games back of the AL-West leading Houston Astros.
All-Star festivities begin tonight with the Annual Home Run Derby, featuring New York Yankee’s youngster, Aaron Judge. The contest begins at 7:00 pm. The All-Star game is tomorrow with first pitch set for 6:30 pm Central Time.
The Greatest Tournament on Earth, Wimbledon, continues tonight. In men’s singles competition top ranked, Andy Murray is up against Benoit Paire at 9:00 am this morning. Second-ranked Novak Djokovic takes on Adrian Mannarino, while No. 3 Roger Federer, is up against No. 13 Grigor Dimitrov. Both matches begin at 11:30. And forth-ranked, Rafa Nadal, plays 16th ranked Gilles Muller starting at 9:00.
On the women’s side, top-ranked Angelique Kerber began the day against Garbine Muguruza at 5:30.
And competitors have completed the first nine stages of the Tour De France. Leading the way after Dole and Station Des Rousses is Christopher Floome. Today will be a rest day for the riders. They’ll continue the path tomorrow at stage 11 through Perigueux and Bergerac.
