Last night the Texas Rangers defeat the Milwaukee Brewers 6-4. Trailing by one in the 6th, Jonathan Lucroy put the good guys on top for good with a two run double. With a Boston Red Sox loss yesterday the Rangers move a half game up in the American League Standings. Texas and Milwaukee play the rubber match tonight at Globe Life Park in Arlington. First pitch [on KPLT 1490am and 96.3fm] is set for 7:05.
Bad news out of Houston as defensive end J.J. Watt is expected to be placed on IR today after reinjuring his back. Watt had surgery for a herniated disk in the off-season that caused him to miss all of training camp and the pre-season. Should Watt be played on IR, he’ll miss six weeks of practice and eight weeks of game action. The Houston Texans are 2-1 on the season and are in first place in the AFC South.
And the Dallas Cowboys are 2-1 as well and are tied for 2nd place in the NFC East. This Sunday afternoon [on 101.9 KBUS] the Cowboys travel to San Francisco to take on the 49ers. Kick off is at 3:25.
