We erroneously insinuated that the Winnsboro News was publishing a story that led listeners to believe the UIL was involved. We later stated that was not true. The Winnsboro News did not report that the UIL was involved in the situation.

The Paris Junior College Baseball team had a record 17 Academic All-Americans this year. They posted a 3.61 Team GPA on the year.

The NBA draft is tonight in Brooklyn beginning at 6:00 pm. The Mavericks have the 5th pick in the draft at the moment. there could be some trades that happen to move teams into the top 5.

The Charlotte Hornets have agreed to send Dwight Howard to the Brooklyn Nets for center Timofey Mozgov, two second-round picks and cash, league sources told ESPN. Charlotte was determined to move Howard, who has a $23.8 million expiring contract. The Hornets will receive the Nets’ second-round pick (No. 45) in tonight’s NBA draft and a 2021 second-round pick, league sources said. The NFL draft starts tonight at 6:00 pm CT.

Leon White, best known as Vader during his time in the world of professional wrestling, died Monday at the age of 63.
In a pair of Twitter posts Wednesday morning, one of White’s children said his father died of heart failure after battling pneumonia over the past month. White, who had a variety of heart issues in recent months, had open-heart surgery in late March.
