Ratcliffe’s Seat Would Be Filled By Special Election

The expected vacancy in the U.S. House of Representatives when and if Congressman John Ratcliff is confirmed as U.S. Director of National Intelligence must be filled by a special election. The current intelligence director is resigning effective August 15. Ratcliff represents the fourth congressional district, which includes Northeast, East, and parts of North Texas.
