Record Electricity Usage Sunday In Texas

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas’ grid conditions showed that the state saw 75,083 megawatts of demand at 5:20 pm Sunday, which is the highest ever. Texas set the last record in August 2019 at 74,800 megawatts. However, officials say there was more than enough supply to meet the record demand.
