Red Cross Names New Executive Director For NE Texas

* The American Red Cross is proud to
introduce Christal Prince as the executive director for the American Red
Cross Serving Northeast Texas. Prince will be based in Texarkana, Texas,
where she will oversee Red Cross programs and services for more than
362,000 people in Bowie, Camp, Cass, Delta, Franklin, Hopkins, Lamar,
Marion, Morris, Rains, Red River, and Titus counties.

“We are thrilled to welcome Christal to the American Red Cross North Texas
team,” said Keith Rhodes, CEO, American Red Cross North Texas Region. “She
is a lifelong member of the Texarkana community and has worked throughout
the area in previous business and volunteer ventures. Her personal
connection with the community and experience working with volunteers will
help to build and maintain strong relationships throughout her chapter
area.”

Prior to joining the Red Cross, Prince spent more than 20 years as an
entrepreneur with businesses in Texarkana and Mt. Pleasant, Texas, and De
Queen, Arkansas. Most recently, Prince functioned as the community manager
for the American Cancer Society where her service area was composed of up
to nine East Texas counties. Her responsibilities included development,
community relations, and volunteer growth and participation.

Volunteering for Women for the Arts, Prince garnered additional experience
in volunteer growth and coordination, community relations, and fundraising.

“I have lived and worked in Northeast Texas for many years and understand
what is important to my neighbors in this area,” Prince said. “I am excited
to serve as executive director and hope to continue to build strong
relationships between the Red Cross and each community in this area. I look
forward to partnering with local volunteers and businesses to help prepare
our communities for emergencies and to help others during their times of
need.”

Prince has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Texas A&M Texarkana with
a secondary emphasis in communications.
