A hectic NBA Free Agency continued over the holiday. Forward Gordon Hayward elected to leave Utah and sign with the Boston Celtics. He’ll sign a four-year max contract worth $127 million. Last season Hayward averaged over 21 points per game to go along with five and a half rebounds and three and a half assists. Finals MVP, Kevin Durant, agreed to return to the Warriors on a two-year, $53 million deal.
And for the 10th time in the past 11 years, the Hot Dog Hoover, the Wizard of the Wiener, the Bottomless Pit, Joey Chestnut, wins the 2017 Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest. This year Chestnut ate a record 72 hot dogs in ten minutes at the annual Independence Day event.
