Reno Man Gets 325 Years

In about twenty minutes Tuesday, a Lamar County jury convicted Sammy Eugene Evans, 70, of Reno, on thirty counts of possession of child pornography. After fifteen minutes of deliberation, the jury returned the maximum sentence on each count and a $10,000 fine. Judge Wes Tidwell ordered the sentences to run consecutively for three hundred twenty years in prison and a total fine of $300,000.
