Reno PD, TxDOT Installing License Plate Readers At Several Locations

The Reno PD will partner with TxDOT to install free-standing license plate readers at several locations around town. The readers will help solve crimes such as burglaries, vandalism, and thefts. They will also be useful in working Amber Alerts and missing persons cases. They have not finalized the details on the license plate readers. TxDOT will finance the project
