Retail sales in the East Texas Broadcasting, Inc market area increased by more than 6% over 2017 from the 2016 figures, according to the latest report from The Texas Comptroller’s Office. The total market area population in Northeast Texas and Southeast Oklahoma was nearly 467,000 people. More than $5.4 billion was spent at retail merchants in the 15-county market area covered in the report.
