The Rivercrest lady Rebels defeated North Hopkins 50-34. Logan Huddleston finished with 12 pts while Caylin Williams had 11 pts for Rivercrest.

Monday, the Clarksville Tigers defeated the North Lamar Panthers 55-47. Tuesday, those Tigers will travel to Detroit. Both girls and boys will play against each other. Chisum will play Grand Saline with the boys at home and the girls on the road. The Paris Wildcats will travel to Hugo, and Prairiland boys will be at Emory Rains. They canceled the girl’s game. Both Honey Grove teams will be at Celeste.

They canceled the North Forney vs. Paris boys basketball game on Dec 29 due to a COVID outbreak in the North Forney team.

Texas A&M University-Commerce women’s basketball players Dyani Robinson and Juliana Louis swept the Lone Star Conference’s weekly basketball awards on Monday, with Robinson earning offensive honors and Louis earning defensive honors. Last week, the Lions started the 2020-21 season with a pair of LSC wins at St. Edward’s, defeating the Hilltoppers by scores of 85-74 and 73-62.

The NHL and NHLPA have agreed to play a 2020-21 regular season on Jan 13 and feature 56 games. The league also confirmed its divisions’ realignment and four new ones for the upcoming season: North, West, Central, and East.

The Dallas Stars will be in the central division with Carolina, Chicago, Columbus, Detroit, Florida, Nashville, and Tampa Bay. Each team will play their division eight times in the season.
